The first title was created in 2003
by Merle Sepel and her brother Brian Sepel,

The Enchanted Doorway Adventures in Dance is now a collection of  programs geared for children 2-6 years old.
The classes are adaptable for younger and older dancers  and are great fun for everyone young in spirit and with a sense of adventure.  The more advanced programs are also suitable for a young ballet dancer's entire first year of training.
Each exciting adventure includes the following:

A
CD which has a narrated story with music and sound effects followed by the music tracks only and then sometimes a third bonus section that is an added extra to fill up the CD and differs from program to program.
The music and sound effects provide a wonderful teaching aid that helps the child recognize pitch, mood, dynamics and much more. The children enjoy the humor and the love of music and dance that comes through in this CD.

Our program,
Enchanted Doorway, Adventures In Dance, was created for children of ages 2 to 6 and is a perfect lead in to our affiliate programs for older children. These programs can be found at the American Academy of Ballet.

1st, 2nd, 3rd. and Jr. Steps followed by Performance Awards.
The program inspires and stimulates both the teacher's and child's imaginations, allows creativity to blossom, develops the senses, creates an enthralling fantasy environment and teaches the young dancer the basics in an age appropriate and safe manner.

With exciting music,  thrilling story lines  and interactive props,  the materials contain everything that is needed to facilitate class planning.  Teachers will find these programs extremely valuable in giving young children a positive desire to learn the fundamentals of ballet technique, at the same time developing their imaginative and creative talents.
Props are valuable teaching aids to help the repetitive nature of learning Plié, Tendu, Skips, Runs, Walks, Port de Bras, etc.   These transform the learning experience into an exciting adventure in movement. The props are intended to help develop balance, coordination and other fine and gross motor skills, as well as to fire the imagination. Additional props are available for purchase.
The Instruction Book has the whole story mapped out, track numbers to sections,  with the different dance exercises broken down for the teacher's use.
